Individual Giving

Megan (Little) from Nobleboro Central School having a blast bowling with her Big Sister Emily at this year's Bowl for Kids' Sake event.
"I loved getting to know my little and creating a special friendship.

I have seen my little open up to me and have had so much fun working and playing with her. She's so creative!"

--Emily (Big)
In order to provide quality mentoring programs, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Midcoast Maine requires annual financial support from the community. We have thorough screening processes, tons of activities for matches to utilize to build friendships, and professional staff that screen, train, and support our Bigs and Littles as they work to develop healthy relationships.

Although it costs an average of $1,000 annually to create and professionally support each match, BBBS offers programs to those who need them free of charge. It is through the support of the community and foundations that we have been able to change so many young lives over the past 30 years.

You can feel great about your gift because with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Midcoast Maine, you know it will make a Big difference in the life of a local child.

Annual Appeal

TJ and Jazmyn, a Community-Based match, at one of our Bowl For Kids’ Sake events
"At first, I wasn't sure how it was going to work out. The match support that we got from your staff made all the difference in getting through the rough spots. TJ and Jazmyn are great friends, now." – Amy Jo, Jazmyn's Mom
We are currently in our Annual Appeal campaign.

This is your opportunity to change a child’s life with your generous gift. We create professionally, supported, one-to-one relationships with measurable impact. This means that your donation is hard at work throughout the year helping a local youth increase their self-confidence, self esteem and social skills so they can succeed in life.

The average cost of a Big Brothers Big Sisters match is $1,000 per year. This includes a professional staff person who recruits, screens and trains the Big and Little, as well as supports the healthy development of the relationship during the lifetime of the match.

Our goal is to change 15 lives by raising $15,000. You can play an important role in making this happen by sending a generous donation. To make a donation, we accept checks and credit or debit cards.

President's Roundtable

Logan (Little) sliding into good times with his Big Brother Matthew at Great Salt Bay Community School
"Being a Big was an easy and fun way to feel like I was making a difference. I like how the time is free to do what we want and Logan started talking to me more every week about anything!"

--Matthew (Big)
The President’s Roundtable was created as a unique opportunity for individuals to play an important role in making sure that the vision of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Midcoast Maine is fulfilled. Members of the Presidents Roundtable have made a generous leadership gift of at least $1,000, making them responsible for changing the life of a child for the year.

Each President’s Roundtable member receives:

  • An invitation to the Annual President’s Roundtable Dinner
  • Recognition on the special Commemorative PRT Plaque prominently displayed in the BBBSMCM office
  • A BBBSMCM individualized keepsake to remember the impact of their gift
  • The unique opportunity to positively shape the future of a child in need

Be a part of this special group of BBBSMCM supporters. Every dollar strengthens the foundation for our local youth to build their self-confidence, social skills and self esteem!

Credit and debit card donations are currently accepted via phone (593-0380). Online giving options will be available very soon.
